MERGED QUESTION Question from deyvirose240312 : "What happens if the RAM is not the same, in brand or speed, but in GB if they are, how does it affect my laptop?"
deyvirose240312 :
My lap has a ram of 8 GB (it is an HP 15ab116la) factory, but not if it is DDR3L or DDR4 ...
I want to buy an 8 GB DDR4 so it has more render processing.
But I would like to know how much it would affect if the RAM memories are not similar?
Thanks for your attention

CPUz -- https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html can tell you all the info about your existing RAM. You want all RAM to match as closely as possible. Voltage, timings, everything. Ideally, you buy all the RAM as a set.
MERGED QUESTION Question from deyvirose240312 : "DDR3L OR DDR4 for HP-15ab116la"
deyvirose240312 :
Hello!
I have an HP 15ab116la, when looking to expand the RAM in the manual I am told that it only works with DDR3L memory but when looking for information on a page (link below) I only see that the compatible RAM is DDR4 ...
They help me to know what will be the best option for my laptop?
For reference (I think), DDR3 and DDR3L have the same notches (fairly certain), DDR4 has a different notch (very certain), so it is not possible for a board to be both DDR3(L) and DDR4 compatible (unless it has two different sets of slots). Use CPU-Z to find out what you actually have, then you'll know what type you can use.
