I'm not that interested with the rest of the computer except the graphic card so I was wondering is it necessary to absorb everything in computer engineering or if I should go for something else such as electrical or electronic engineering.

Also would "Engineering Technology" be better?

EE is your best bet. But I'm going to be honest with you. You need to be at the absolute top of your class to even have a chance. Worldwide there are probably less than 1000 positions with that job title. And there are at least that many people graduating every year with that level of expertise. Anything less than full marks in every class is not going to get you into a position you want. You will also need to work internships and co-ops throughout your college career in the field with the manufacturers. That's the only way. Not trying to rain on your parade. I started out with the same aspirations but it's unlikely. I wont tell you good luck. Only hard work and exceptional dedication will get you that job title.
