[SOLVED] I want to OC my cpu !!!

Hello I have the i5 6600 non K cpu and I want to overclock it. My motherboard is the MSI z170a m5 gaming. Is it possible ?
I also need suggestions for a cooler.

It is possible, but it will be difficult. You will have to do a base clock overclock. I would suggest doing some reading on it, because it is not nearly as easy as if you just had a K-series CPU.

That cooler is okay. It will be good enough for your i5-6500.

But again, before you go buying coolers and all, see if base clock overclocking is something you can do. You can do it before you buy a cooler, and if you are successful you can buy a cooler. I have tried base clock overclocking and I probably didn't spend enough time tweaking it, but it just wouldn't work for me.

After base clock do I have to overclock it or base clock is a way of overclocking. And i found this video on yt should I follow it

When you overclock the base clock, that will overclock your CPU (and everything else that runs off of the base clock) which is why it's so tricky. Each system is different, so what works for him might now work for you.
