I'm using Sony 19" GDM 400PS. I'm satisfied with the graphics and text with this monitor so far. I use it for word processing, programming, some graphics editing, net surfing, and gaming. So both sharp text and colors are important to me.

Right now I'm looking for a 21" for those purposes mentioned above. I want a 21" because I want to play games at 1600*1280 and watch movies on a larger screen.

On Sony's website they have this Sony CPD-E540 21" for a cheaper price but people say the text output for this mon is horrible.

So I'm looking at this CPD-G520 which is one level higher up.

What do you guys think? Do you know any other 21" monitors better than Sony CPD-G520? It seems like everyone here likes Sony.

I don't think LCDs can beat CRTs in terms of price and size anytime soon : (

btw have you guys tried 21" CornerStone monitors? Their prices seem to be quite attractive. What's the difference between 21" and 22"?

From a viewable area there is no differance between a 21 or a 22" monitor. Flat faced 22" monitors simply have more glass covered by the plastic bezel.

I have the CPD-G520 and it is a great monitor. I have recommended it any chance I get. Those who have the funds for it have not been disappointed.

Hepp!.. Just saw yer post, and I just bought the Sony GDM F520 monitor, and it's the best I've ever seen. Crisp clear pictures and an insane resolution. Nice and intuitive controls + wonderful colors. I can recomend it, really.. it's a very nice monitor. Well now did I upgrade from a 17" so the difference was huge. And I was a bit sceptic regarding the 2 wires, but they don't really show. I hope this can be of any use to you.
