I found a good PC on Bestbuy (CAD) and I want to upgrade the graphics card to a Radeon R9 390 8GB to improve my gaming experience. The current RAM and processor looks to be suitable for the games I want to play.

I could not find the type/model of the motherboard in the Bestbuy PC, so I do not know if the graphics card would be compatible.

Also, I realize I would need a new power supply to handle the new graphics card so what would you recommend? Would I also need a new (bigger) case to fit everything?

EDIT: Could anyone tell me the exact motherboard model and if the Radeon R9 390 8GB will fit into this case?

Solution
You'll certainly need a new power supply for that unit, as for the case, I think that you should be fine, especially if you go with m-ITX style cards, such as one of these ones
GTX 960 (450W power supply)
GTX 970 (550 W power supply
or R9 Fury Nano (550 W power supply)

Yes, definitely need a new PSU. At least 650W from a trusted brand and certified one.

And, think twice about buying a already build system, you can maybe find some good deals buying each components individually.

Ex: same cpu, H97-D3H board and 8gb ram G.Skill Ripjaws 270u$d. (prices taken from pcpartpicker)

I agree with BadActor, you can probably get a faster setup with the same or even less money than the prebuilt Acer system

If I were you, I would build a pc from scratch, here are the parts
-Intel Core i5 6500
-Gigabyte GA-H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151
- 2x HyperX FURY 8GB 288-Pin DDR4
-Western Digital blue 1tb
-Nvidia Gtx 980 ti
-Fractal Design core 2300 case
-CORSAIR CX series CX650M
-And obviously windows software of your choice
All these parts at newegg
So if you pay a little extra, you will get a crazy beast of a future proof pc that can be easily uprgraded
