[SOLVED] I want to update my monitor drivers

Haven't done it since purchase. Generic PnP Monitor in device manager is still at a 2006 driver.

My question is, do I download the driver on the right, or one of the firmwares on the left? What is the difference between driver and firmware? And if both, which one first?

Use the one on the right, first. What OS are you working with? As for your firmware's, you should follow up with the guide posted at the bottom of that snapshot, and see what your current firmware version is.

The firmware updates the internals of the monitor.
The driver is what lets your OS talk to the monitor.

You want both.
But if it is currently working to your satisfaction, leave it alone.

My current one is 1002.0.

Which firmware do I want? 1007.4 or 1009.0?

Unless you are experiencing a problem directly addressed by either a driver or firmware update there is no reason to even consider an update. All you do when chasing updates is risk bricking your system. Basically, if it works, don't fix it.
