I want to upgrade my CPU in this dell optiplex 755 sff for i3 2120 but I am not sure if the motherboard is gonna be compatible with this motherboard

An Intel Core 2 Quad Q9700 or Q9705 is the fastest processor that will work in that motherboard. It's doubtful that you can even find one to buy anymore. The Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 can still be found but its price doesn't make it a worthwhile upgrade.

The 97xx needs 400FSB Q9650 is the best for that system. Q6600 G0 stepping can be tape modded to 3GHz also.
