I want to upgrade my laptop screen, can I use a different brand?

I currently have a laptop that uses a LTN156AT36-D01 touchscreen and I want to upgrade my laptop from 1366-768 display to a 1920x1080 display. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what screen to buy? And I would like it to still be touchscreen.

When my laptop first came out there was the option for such resolution but it was too expensive. How would I be able to find out if I have the hardware power? And wouldn't I be able to find the software drver somewhere?

It may be part of the BIOS. Is that resolution offered as a configuration option in in your OS? Are you using Windows of some flavor?

Can you find out what the panel would be if you had ordered the 1080p version?
