[SOLVED] I want to upgrade my laptop?

Hello, My name is Conor and I am COMPLETELY new to computing/computers/hardware/software/gaming etc. However have had some really enjoyable sesions playing some games and others I would now like to hava go at - racing mostly but I will never be a serious gamer!

The only difference is I have 12GB Ram. not the 8gb listed in this description.

From what i can read the processor is pretty good in this laptop and all I think I need to do is upgrade up the GPU which I have discovered isn't that easy. So with some research I have found 'the beast' >> https://geekworm.com/products/exp-g...endent-graphics-card-adapter-docking-stations.

My questions is - how on earth do i find out if this is compatible and if it is, how do i install it? Or is this a daft idea??

Also by doing this, will I do any damage to anything - aside from the install which I trust I would be careful with!!

What is your budget?

Reading the Q&A referenced above, I say, stay away.
It is quite a kludge.
You are essentially buying a desktop replacement since you also need a psu, graphics card and a monitor.
