I run a memory type: DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 (non-ECC) , Intel Mobile HM55 model. How to upgrade? My Laptop model is Sony Vaio VPCEB31EN , Pentium P6100 2ghz processor , SATA HDD 320GB.

Which RAM to buy to upgrade my 2GB to atleast 6GB.

Solution
You can get Kingston ValueRam 4GB PC3-10600 Unbuffered 204-pin SO-DIMM

4GB • DDR3-1333 - 1333Mhz - PC3-10600 • CL9 • Non-ECC • Unbuffered • 1.5V

Matches to your system. Also better performance.

Flipkart

is this one correct for my laptop or anything else??

DDR3 PC3-10600 • CL=9 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3- this is the info you need to purchase your ram crucial states you can run 8 gig so you must only have 2 ram slots so this would be 2 x4 = 8 you cant run 6 gig never seen 3 gig ram moduels but some folks run 6 gig when they have 4 ram slots open that would be 3x2 = 6 hope this helps ? you cant order from crucial then I take it

Well , I am sorry if I am wrong but will not be 2gb which is already fitted in the first slot will be of anyuse after I insert a 4gb into the second slot . and also please look into this link
Transcend DDR3 RAM
is this fine for my laptop and can I use my 2gb + new 4gb one together?

I can order from this wevsite as it is an indian website which gives me an option of cash on delivery ....thanks for help :)

Thanks bro, ok I will be going for a kingston , but eventually I still have the question that if I buy 4gbx1 of ram will or won't it be compatible with the previously installed ram of 2gb in the first slot , or what's the phenomenon behind it ? do we need rams from same vendors to make it work ,or what thing?

will 2+4gb new won't work as 6gb? if not why?

thanks for help bro again :)

Your Laptop is supported upto Maximum of 8GB RAM.

So if you have 2GB already, you can go for another 4GB.

Its not so necessary to have same vendors. But ensure that you get same Mhz amount and same voltage RAM. :)

Can you tell me the exact model no of your laptop: Check the referral here to find your laptop's model
