I want to upgrade my PC, need help? (Im a Noob)

My current specs:

Power Supply : 500 Watt With Power Cable
Motherboard : Gigabyte H81M-H
CPU : Intel I5 4440 4th Gen Quad Core 3.2Ghz CPU (3.4Ghz Turbo)
Hard Drive : 1tb Sata Hard Drive
Memory : 8gb DDR3 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance Memory
Graphics Card : Geforce GTX 750 TI 2gb (sreen support for DVI / HDMI / VGA connection)
Software : Windows 10

I want to upgrade my PC so that I can play the latest games on ultra settings. Which graphics card should I buy and can my motherboard support it? if not can you recommend me some parts. Also should I upgrade my CPU? Im a noob at this, thank you to who ever comments. 😀

(P.S. GTA 5 recommended settings requires me to get a better CPU)

You i5 CPU will be enough for some time still. Your GPU is the main big upgrade to go for, along with maybe an SSD. A GTX 970 would be a nice upgrade, if you can afford it. Otherwise, a R9 380(x).

Also, what is the exact brand and model of your PSU? A poor power supply is the root to all bad in most PC's, and it's important if you upgrade your GPU, that the PSU can handle it.

Its gonna depend on how much money you want to spend. As far as a card, i would suggest a GTX 980, i have that and i can play gta 5 on ultra at 70fps. Your motherboard should be able to handle the card, my older asrock does. If you looking to upgrade the processor i would seriously look at getting an I7, you could get the new skylake I7 but then you would be looking at having to get a new board and ram. Ummm the I7 4790k Devils Canyon would be a good choice. 8 gigs of ram is good but if you happen to look on newegg, ram prices have gone down and you could bump up to 16gigs for under $100 right now.

Now, because of your CPU, I would recommend a gtx 960/r9 380, more than that and you would be wasting performance because of the CPU
Upgrading the CPU, going up to a 4690K and a z97 mobo to OC the CPU, you can stick with your mobo and go instead for a i5 4690

The CPU is fine to play GTAV at medium-high with an improved GPU

PS: your PSU is fine for wither of the GPUs I said

An SSD is on the way, and money isn't an issue for a new GPU.

So if i replace my 750 ti with 960, should I stay with my PSU:

I just want to play newer games on 1080p/full settings with 60fps.

Preety much, not everything maxed out, like PureHair in the new thomb raidet, most gameworks features or the famous grass on GTA5, but high to ultra 1080p@60fps.

If you go with either 960 or 380, your 500W PSU will be plenty.
You just need to make sure your Power Supply Unit (PSU) has enough PCI-E power connector to power the GPU.

[strike]P.S I just Googled your PSU and I don't see any 2x4pin or 1x8pin, I only see 2x6pin adapter.

Keep your i5 4440 4th gen. CPU won't change a thing in 80% of games.
What will make a Huge difference is the SSD for the Operating System and Programs and the GPU for FPS in general.
The i5 you have has 4 cores + 4 Threads, that's plenty. And a turbo boost of 3.30Ghz which is average.
Save your money and only change the GPU

Yeah, don't upgrade your 4440 to a 4690, they have similar performance anyway, and you can spend the money on a GPU instead.

A GTX 970 together with a proper powersupply like the Seasonic S12II 520W BRONZE is the way to go. Unless you want to go full bananas and buy a GTX 980 straight away.

That PSU you have is a cheap one and might not be able to output 500w consistently. It may work with a powerful GPU, but it might also fry your whole card instead. Those china-capacitors on cheap PSU's tend to burn out when they get under heavy load.
