Hello, name's Pau!

So, as said in the title, I want to upgrade my pc with a focus on gaming, hopefully being able to run next gen stuff nicely.

Next up you have my actual specs, (or hardware, not sure how you guys call it heheh)

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
Memory 8.1 GB
OS Microsoft Windows 8 Professional Edition (build 9200), 64-bit

As for the motherboard, not sure if it matters, but it is an ASUS P8 H61-MX USB3.

Now that you know what i have, what would you change? My bucket is kinda low, have that in mind please!

I've been told that its only the graphic card that is getting behind, is it true, or should I change something else?

To end with, I want to apologize for any mistakes and for my obvious lack of knowledge as far as hardware goes. Thanks a lot in advance!

Solution
AMD: Wait a bit longer for the R9 300 series to come out (then either get one of them, or get an R9 290X for cheaper than you would if you bought it now).
Nvidia: GTX 980, or if price is an issue, get the GTX 970. If it isn't, SLI either of them.

Depending on his screen resolution (which I suspect is 1080p) the options you listed are over kill and probably out of his budget.

I would recommend something on the level of gtx 770, R9 280x, R9 280/285, gtx 760. They would all be decent upgrades to the 650 without spending too much money.

Although if the budget does permit the 970 is really nice, if your case has good cooling than take a look at the prices on the R9 290(x).

I scanned through what he said looking for a budget, and missed the fact he had a low one because of the misspelling of budget. Sorry man :)

My opinion about your stuff.. you already have good stuff :D but if you want play games like from Ubisoft you need higher RAM, or GPU. I recommend upgrade RAM to 16GB, and GPU for GTX 750 Ti.

Their no reason to spend money on more memory he has 8gb already and that money could be spent on the video card for better performance.

You need to post your power supply a link would be great but the make and model will do NOBODY can recomend a video card without knowing that unless you go for a slight performance increase in stead of making a truly worthwhile upgrade.

Well, I said it's my opinion. In big open-world games (Far Cry 4, Watch_Dogs..) is better to have higher RAM. and yes, i must say 8gb is quite enough

I agree that RAM is quite important for open world games, but 8gb is enough for now. Spending $80/£60 on another 8Gb could instead be used on a graphics card, which is would be quite substantial when it comes to getting graphics cards. To be honest, buying another 8Gb of RAM when he has a GTX 650 and is looking to upgrade for gaming, is quite ridiculous.

Hello everyone, thanks a lot for all the replies, didn't expect that much implication!

And that "bucket" thing, my bad heheh, my budged would be something between 250-350€.

So yeah, been looking for the prices of the cards you recommended and I think i'll go for either a gtx 760 or a 770.

The temperature thing is something I didn't even know about, not sure how well does my pc work in terms of refrigeration , but i'll make sure to look for someone who can tell me.
As for the power supply, I was already told that I should change it when I bought my GTX 650, and I didn't, so I guess its a must now isn't it?

Thanks again for your attention guys!

One thing I forgot! My monitors native resolution is 1900x1080, this probably was important ^^'.
