I have got a conqur 2 gb ddr2 ram i would like to upgrade it to 8 gb even if possible up to 16gb i have two slots for ram in which one slot is already occupied can any body help in solving this issue.

Thanks for you reply as i am doing for the first time may i know just by removing the ram i am i going to loose some data from my computer as I did not backup my computer ?

Ram is not storage. Ram is volatile memory, its wiped every time the computer is powered off. So no, you wont lose anything by replacing your ram.

Obviously, only replace the ram when the computer is off, and disconnected from the power.

Can i go upto 16gb from this page i could not able to figure it out properly what's your comment

I have seen some videos showing how to use pen drives as Ram can i follow them to install some software which wants 4gb ram ?

No. It doesnt work that way.

Pen drives are much much much much much much much much (...) slower than Ram. Readyboost is a poor excuse for a ram upgrade.
