Hello guys, hopefully you can help me out

My current rig is:

I7 4770K (OC 4.5 Ghz)
H100i Cooling
Asrock Z97 Extreme 4
Intel 250 GB SSD
550W PSU

I only do competitive gaming (LoL) and i play Osu sometimes, right now i have 300 usd and im looking if i should keep my rig and get a decent gpu (RX 580.1070) or sell my current rig to a friend that is giving me 400 usd, should i sell my rig and aim for a 7/8th Intel CPU Upgrade or keep it and buy a GPU ?

Right now my temps are 40c max and i had a 970 before and had really good framerates, no stuttering, top notch performance, im just worried about futureproofing.

Also im playing at 1080p ,

If you're looking to upgrade your pc now, definitely go for a CPU upgrade, as graphics card prices are not worth it at the moment and at 1080p, a cpu upgrade will likely make a bigger difference. Also, what is the model of your PSU?

Personally I'd still go with the CPU upgrade. When you say "sell your rig for 400usd" do you mean your full build or just certain components?
