This is a good pc and runs pretty much all games on high but it is starting to get outdated, especially on the new Battlefield V open beta. I do get 60 FPS but it is not stable 60 FPS loads of stuttering probably because of my CPU bottlenecking my GPU.

Specs

CPU: i5 6500
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
MEMORY: KINGSTON DDR4 8GB RAM
MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE B250 HD3P CF

My question is, should i wait for the new nvidea cards or get a second hand gtx 1080 or TI. Im keen on the i7 8700K, is my motherboard good enough for a i7 8700K?

Im open to all kind of upgrades, second hands or brand new.

I would wait for the new Nvidia 2000 series to see what current GPUs will drop to. Your B250 MB does not support the 8700k. For the 8700k you need a Z370 chipest MB, and W10 as well.

I would be cautious on 2nd hand with GPUs unless you buy from someone you know and/or trust well, as some claim light use, but have used them 24/7 for mining.

B250 doesn’t support 8700k.

You need a 300 series chipset.

What does msi afterburner tells you?i suspect your cpu is too weak. Msi afterburner will show high cpu usage and medium gpu usage. If that’s the case, a 7700 or a 8400/8700 on a b360 can solve your issue. 8700k is too expensive and doesn’t offer too much gain over the 8700 at stock. Unless you invest heavily on a decent mobo, power supply and good cpu cooler. If the afterburner shows low cpu and high gpu usage . Get a 1070ti or 1080 will improve your gaming experience .
