I want to upgrade

Hi so I wanna upgrade my pc and don't really know what to get here are my current specs:

CPU: FX-8350 4GHz 8-Core Processor
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 390 Series
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA 990FXA UD3
PSU: 850W

i wanna spend max 400$ on a gpu and 150$ on cpu

with $550, I will keep the 390 and get a better CPU first.

Drop in a better GPU later on. 390 is still very good @ 1080p 60 fps. Add an SSD if you don't have yet. What PSU model is it?

However, 8350 is still capable of 1080p 60 fps, what reason to upgrade?

I just feel like my gpu is messed up.. I get massive lag spikes and fps drop etc.

Check cpu/gpu usage and temp during game, MSI afterburner is a good tool.

You can open hwinfo32,after that open the sensor window by marking sensors=V,after that click run.
