Hello guys!
I would like to upgrade my cpu but dont know what is the best replacement for amd fx 4300 quad core.I have a nvidia 1050 and 8gb of ram.
Can you suggest some cpu that are not that expensive and would fit on my motherboard i mean have the same slot as the previous cpu.

Solution
There's no cpu on this platform worth bothering with. The guy who said get an 8320e should NOT have recommended that.

We have no way to know if your board will support that cpu since we don't know the model of your board. Even if we did, some boards didn't have the vrms to handle those 8 cores.

Plus, FX came out in 2011. Now about 8 years ago. Best thing is save your money up for a new board, cpu, and ram, and move to either ryzen or Intel.

Nothing I'd recommend buying for a FX motherboard, everything is outdated plus not all those motherboards can support the higher powered 8XXX/9XXX CPU's. Unless your getting the CPU for pretty much free there's nothing I would recommend, save up for AMD Ryzen.

I recommend the AMD FX 8320e (the "e" is lower power consumption) if you can afford around 130 dollars, you can find them on amazon or ebay.

If you're looking at a very minimal boost in performance, honestly wont be that much, you can find a amd fx 6300 on amazon for around 60 dollars.

Ideally saving up for a new motherboard/cpu would be the best option, but if you want something now on a low budget, one of the above CPU's will be all you can really do without changing a bunch of things.

You don't even know if he has a motherboard that even supports an 8320e

The fx-4300, 6300 and 8320e all have an AM3+ socket.

But there are boards that never got BIOS updates for the "e" CPUs. The AM3+ was dying when that CPU came out and older model boards never got updates to support it.

That doesn't matter. There's a lot more to AMD compatibility than just a socket type. I'm sure they will be several others here to post and confirm what I'm telling you
