I have this card when i start with the integrated gpu i see it in computer management with error 43, sometimes with 31 and (The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter). flashed a bios on it (VGA Bios Collection: RX 580 OC 8 ГБ AXRX-580-8GBD5-3DHD 8 GB | TechPowerUp ) . installed an amd driver , switched back in bios to pcie and it works but not all the time . if pc stays more than 5 min turned off , the errors comeback again . the ram memory of gpu is samsung k4g80325fbhc25. name on the backplate is AXRX-580-8GBD5-DMV3. also has a bios switch , if driver is installed that bios works too but i can see its a mining bios since fans are always at 1400, and the wattage consumption is always at 40 . what is it with windows that stops this gpu all the time ? and if someone can recommend a bios for it if flashing would solve the problem.

Might want to look again,

0MHz on GPU and Memory clocks, the GPU's name isn't shown and the parts that are unknown(except for N/A on Shader) should have some value on them, that GPU's a goner. You can try with VBIOS flashing, your mileage can and will vary but the end result is that the GPU's dead.

Just to learn. How does it recognize the GPU if its dead?, i mean the specs of the card, like the info and the rest of the things or even detect the card connected.

As you said he might try to VBIOS the card, with some luck will do something.

another screenshot after driver install , all that while playing ac valhalla at 60 fps on low Imgur: The magic of the Internet . even after gpu install it had the intention to go to the core clock speed of 1425, brought it to 1350 with msi afterburner even though its original speed is 1215. will try that later see if it gets even more stable

Well for one thing, it's calling the card a "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". Where did you get this card? It appears to be a fake. A real Radeon would at least say what the GPU is. Where did you buy this card?

no more crashing yet , tried to trigger them with restarting and unplugging the pc but it acts normal . slowed down its speed with afterburner at 1215 mhz. and it performs great with 60 fps in dying light 2 on low , and temps dont go higher than 60 . lowering it's speed might've been the solution . we'll see

Nice! Could be something being related to that model and bios of that gpu specifically, who knows... At least its working now :)

i did know about this solution but it doesnt solve my issue . anyway thanks for the suggestion
Error 43 on RX 400/500 series seems to be a common issue with cards with different bios or gpus that had been bios flashed. That could be the reason for appearing your error 43 sometimes in device manager. Thank you too :)

The most often times I've seen 0's like those, and missing info is when the card isn't the card, like someone in the remote reaches of China took a R7 250 and slapped a dual fan shroud on it and a R9 280 vbios etc. That happens a lot in places like eBay.

the card is always working for the entire day , on one condition , to reinstall the driver every morning. flashed bios after bios on it , i admit it i blocked the oc bios , it works but it wont erase anymore , also since im not able to find the original bios , from what ive heard is that a modified or unauthentic vbios will never work properly not with the microsoft basic display driver or with the original amd drivers because it's doing the bios signature check or it is very possible to be something linked to that , not sure . thinking about getting a programmer for flashing vbios, but maybe afer ill give it a try to flash the bricked oc bios under linux . tell you more about my adventures next season in breaking bad.

What a strange behaviour from the GPU. Try to flash the normal bios and if its not working try to flash the other bios. You could try to use this low dell base clock bios, which is a reference bios to be honest: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/194686/dell-rx580-8192-170301

I suggest to verify if the gpu is even a rx580. Remove the cooler and serch the model number. Here is an image of the die:

We will be waiting with your RX580 meth chemistry experiment :)

solved the problem with the errors in computer management with this bios https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/237843/237843.
any other bios failed to solve the errors but this one did the job
your suggested bios is gonna be a subsistem mismatch , i think . maybe will give it a try though .
but i still have some other 3 cards fom the same dude who was mining , and they all behave strange
im testing them in games , and yeah you do have 60 fps but thy're not smooth at all, giving me severe headaches with something like microstuttering
anyway so yeah after searching and looking i did found out that theyll never gonna be gaming cards again since the chip has been forced with overclocking , also their memory .
ill try and read the name on the die aswell , though i have no idea for how long is the trick with the flashing is gonna work lol . been a pleasure to experiment
