Question I was given a Toshiba Satellite Laptop, I need to upgrade its RAM.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop it is Part No. PSC08U-061037 with 2 sticks of DDR2 RAM totaling 3GB. I would like to upgrade this RAM. What is the maximum amount of RAM that I can run in this laptop? Also, what is the maximum RAM Speed that I can install in this Laptop.

DDR2 up to 4GB it says there. I cannot find a specific on the speed, would take some digging into the CPU/chipset spec perhaps.

IMO the best thing you could do with this is retire it and not spend any money on it. Even something really light like Lubuntu or other light OS is going to put that Celeron to task. I doubt this will do more than read text, almost certain it will not be capable of video playback online, such at YT.

As you may already be aware Toshibas laptop line was discontinued, acquired by Sharp in 2019 and basically doesn't exist as the same company anymore.

I have a similar level Tosh Laptop, C305, Celeron 900 CPU.

It is so slow as to be unusable in 2023.

The only reason I still have it, is because it has not yet transported itself to the recycling center.
