so yeah bassicly my CPU's average temp. goes up to 98-105 celcius without anything running and maybe up to 120-125 celcius with payday 2 running at mostly medium settings.
I wonder how to get it to a more "Normal" temp.
The highest i have recorded is 130 celcius without shutting down.
This computer is one heavy, strong beast when it gets to temp.

Well your right but still, it's a very powerful computer if it can handle that much heat

So it's a used laptop, don't know how long they had it and how they used it

I don't know the specs that much again, try searching hp pavilion Amd a4

I have always had it on either a desk or table

So that cpu is going 55c above it's maximum allowed temperature so I'm suprised it's not shutting down yet. Doing this for long will greatly decrease the lifetime of the laptop. This laptop can easily be taken apart if it's one of the standard hp pavilions since it just has screws on the back that you need to loosen and then pry it open carefully.

However you are not really giving us enough information since we still don't know the exact laptop (look for a sticker or model number o it somewhere).

I had my step dad look at it. We opened the screws and tried nearly everything to get it open, couldn't, there's no stickers on it indicating the pc besides "Amd processer" "pavilion" "hp" "beats" no other stinker og logo, nothing or actually a warning/claimants on the back

It's not that old actually, I think it's a model from after 2014
