I was wanting to build the Positron PC by Austin Evans, but...

...The motherboard he uses in his build was discontinued. (Here is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmuNTpKGOZU )

The motherboard he uses in his build is the MSI H97 Guard-Pro. It was briefly available at Office Depot, but I didn't order it in time and it now seems to be out of stock everywhere since (As far as I know) it was discontinued. So my questions are:

1: Why was this motherboard discontinued?

2: Does anybody have one of these that they would be willing to sell?

3: Does anybody know a place where these are in stock? And/Or

4: What is a good replacement for this motherboard? I'm wanting to keep the same or a similar color scheme, but that isn't too important, and since I am a PC noob (This is my first time wanting to build my own PC, so expect to see me again in the near future) And I know nothing about motherboards, I don't know what a good replacement would be, or if this motherboard is even a good choice... well, OK, I know it's a pretty darn good choice, but you get my point.

And one last question I wanted to ask, is this build fine, just in general? I mean, is there anything important missing from the build, are there any things I should switch out with the build since it might be a tiny bit outdated, or is this build fine? The only thing major I noticed was missing was a cooler, but since the case has built in coolers I assume that's fine that it doesn't have a separate cooler. Thanks in advance :)

Wow! Thank you very much! :D Well, since this is actually under my budget of $1000, what upgrades for this build would you recommend to bump the price up to a little over $1000? Once again, thank you VERY much! I didn't think you could get a PC this good for this cheap! Oh, and another thing, I probably won't bother too much with overclocking and stuff like that since I'm new to this and I don't want my PC to implode, so you don't have to worry about the overclocking abilities with the parts.

Do you have a copy of windows? If not then you will need to add that to the build. Do you also require a monitor?

No and no, I would need to get windows, but I don't add that into the budget of the build since it isn't the PC itself, and no, I don't need a monitor either. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to type this :)

You could've been using a laptop :) but anyhow I don't really see much point pushing the budget over $1000 for no reason as this build will serve you well, spend the rest on games or whatever. If you really wanted to you could get a slightly larger SSD or add another 8gigs of RAM :D

Hey. This is my build. This is my money. I DO WHAT I WANT. Nah, JK, but yeah there isn't much of a point, but it's under what I was hoping to spend so might as well make it last just a bit longer by spending some more money on it :) ... Actually, thinking it over again, those are some good points, so I guess that build'll be fine, thank you! :D
