Hey, guys,

About 6 months ago, I built my PC using an EVGA GTX 275 Video Card and the Gigabyte X58 UD3R Motherboard. The specs don't say SLI Capable, however the reviews say it is. I have revision 1.0 of the board.

Lately, the main thing holding me back in my gaming is apparently that there's not enough VRAM. As such, I'd like to set up an SLI Configuration.

I have PCI Slot both of the motherboard and the case, so it needs to be a single slot card.

Here's what I'm thinking. (Click Me!)

But the problem is, I'm not quite sure how to do it, and the bigger problem is that my Motherboard did not come with an SLI Bridge, and I don't know where to get one.

Can somebody review this whole situation for me from the card to choice to the Bridge issue?

Also I need advice on this: Is my 750W Corsair PSU enough power?

Core i7 920 Not overclocked
6GB DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte X58 UD3R Motherboard
GTX 275 + 9800GT
ASUS TV Card plus Ethernet PCI Adapter
WD Caviar Black 1TB, WD Caviar Black 2TB, OCZ Vertex 60GB,
2 DVD Burners and 1 BD Reader
Antec 900 case
Like 12 or 13 USB Devices

A PSU Calculator online told me 583W but that seems pretty low so I just wanna be sure.

Your motherboard is Crossfire only, you would have needed the GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 motherboard for SLI.

That link goes to a 9800GT card. Not another GTX 275. I am not sure what your issue is, but a single GTX 275 should perform VERY well in most games.

Are you only able to SLI two cards of the exact same type?

Yes, my GTX 275 does perform very well at like 30 FPS but then suddenly drop to 5 FPS and crash saying that it's out of VRAM.

So say that I didn't SLI and I just put the two cards in there, with both monitors on the GTX 275. Would I see ANY difference at all?

Ha, where? I don't trust ebay too much plus their prices don't stick. :)

Well, I could sell my 275 for $230 or so and get this.

I am selling my GTX 295, in my sig ;)

So you are running 2 monitors on the 275 currently?

No you can not run SLI no 2 different cards like Crossfire X. You can use the other card for Physix, but that is it.

Oh, OK then I won't do it. Like I said, maybe just one day upgrade to 1792MB GTX 275 over my current 896MB Version.

And I have two monitors. A 21.5" LG 1080p monitor on my desk I use all the time, and a 61" JVC HDTV in the basement. (conveniently directly below my PC :) ) The JVC Monitor is only enabled when I want to stream a movie or a TV show to it, and it operated via VGA at 1024x768.
