hello all i have logitech z 2300 digital 2.1 ch speakers i wish to upgrade to 5.1ch digital speakers is it worth upgrading from 2.1ch to 5.1ch to logitech z 906

i use crosshair v formula z motherboard and its on board sound card i checked is enough for me at least

it may be enough but if the sound chip doesn't offer 5.1 surround then you will just be wasting your money on a set of speaker with a feature you can't take advantage of
