Hello. Several years ago I built my first PC. I am at a point now where I would like to upgrade it.

Approximate Purchase Date: I am really open on this. Whats really important is $$$. I have been way out of the loop so to speak with technology (had my first kid). If newer stuff was coming out then I would wait to get the current items when they went on sale.

Budget Range: ($450-$600) I would really like to stay in that range, but if its a matter of better hardware, I would consider going slightly above if my performance of my PC was going to be tremendously better.

I use the PC for gaming, internet, watching videos, homework.

I was hoping to get the PC ready for a VR head set when that time comes. I'd like to be able to run games like Elite Dangerous, The Division, Fallout 4, & Skyrim in all their glory if I am able.

I would also like to keep some of the parts I have if I can. My current PC looks like this:

Zalman Z11plus case

Intel Core i5 3570k 3.40GHZ

ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 ATX Mobo

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB)RAM

PC Power & Cooling Silencer MK III 600w Power Supply

EVGA GeForce GTX 660 ti GPU

Samsung 830 series 128GB SSD

Seagate Barracuda 1tb Hard Drive

Acer 21.5 LCD monitor

Running Windows 8.1

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Oh. I did forget to put in the original post that my previous build also has a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO cooler. My bad.

In your experience, is there a video card that you would give a thumbs up to or any that I should absolutely avoid?
