i would like to know how to install a headphone in my pc

i have just installed skype and while trying to set the speaker in the skype's setting i cant find my headphone i even tried to read the sound suppord issues on skype yet nothing helped...

Have you tried setting your headphones as the default playback (or communications) device?

Right click the speaker icon on the taskbar.
Select playback devices and find the device you would like to use.
Finally set it as default device (or default communication device if plain default isn't helping).

Note: If you change default audio devices AFTER launching an application you may have to restart that application in order for changes to take effect.
