Why not enlighten us as to the problem? (It sounded to me like you needed to
reinstall your anti-virus and so some more virus and malware scans.)

Most newsgroup readers will let you delete a message - in outlook express
(sorry, there are probably better newsgroup readers out there, but its the
one I'm use to) there is an option to "cancel message" on the Message menu.
