Question i3 12100F Idle temps

Hi,

I'm just wondering whether my temps are ok for this cpu or if Im just worrying over nothing!, I'm running it with the stock intel cooler as I brought it as a motherboard/cpu combo and that what it came with.
I've noticed on idle it will fluctuate between 40/45 and sometimes reach the 50s and back again! Is this normal?

I would not be concerned at all about those temps............but it could certainly be possible that your case has airflow issues of some type. Dig into it or ignore it. Maybe raise an eyebrow if temps get to 70.

Thanks for the reply, I have an NZXT S340 elite case and have never realized that I could mount fan at the front (thought it was only for radiators!) 🤦‍♂️😂
I only have 2 exhaust fans back and top, So I've ordered some static pressure fans as intake fans due to the front panel not really having alot of ventilation. Hopefully it helps a little!

I really don't think those temps are unusual for a stock cooler. They are just good enough to keep the CPU running, so 40°C sounds okay to me. I recommend a better cooler in the future, though. Even $30 will perform better while being quieter, too.
