I3 2021 with gtx 280

It was a PNY but yes. It still would have frame issues and with the drivers it would crash on all but 1 map. I also had a BFG GTX 285 OC that still had fps drops at 1600x900. You are right with that I suppose. And I misread the title and your response, I thought it said GT 280, not GTX 280. Still, if I was him I would trust your input more than mine, you know what you're talking about.

And it won't update drivers to allow play on any map but Dust II and installation is a pain because the drivers wouldn't install from GeForce experience. Thats just my experiences with this series and CSGO though. But anyways, like you said, it would do something.

The problem is I have a very low budget atm. And a friend is giving me a gtx 280 he's not using. I might maybe buy a gtx 750 next year. Anyways this is just a second pc I already have a monster AMD, you can see it in my prophile. This is to play Dota 2 with my wife. We've never had a chance to team up because of that. And I found an old i3 2120 in an box in a house I just moved in to and decided to build it.

BTW sorry I'm on my smartphone atm and the only way to answer from the mobile version of this page is selecting the answer option from the email. So this is why I'm answering from this answer. Cause emails aren't loading at time.

If you're at a very tight budget, this would be fine for CSGO, never played DOTA so I dont really know the power needed, but it should be fine.

If you can get stable drivers - it can work. You got it for nothing anyways :)

Even something really cheap like GT 730 2GB GDDR5 will be fine for CS:GO and Dota 2. GTX 750/750 Ti would be the best choice.
