Hello,

So I've got an optiplex sff machine here with an i3 2120 and it has space for a half sized GPU in a pcie x16 slot.

I also happen to have a HD 7450 GPU half sized.

Which will be better?

It sounds obvious, the dedicated being better than the discrete. However my mate has a HD 6450 and recently upgraded to an i3 4130 and said the iGPU in that outdid his 6450 easily. But the HD Graphics in that is better so not sure how it'll stack up. And iirc the HD 7450 is just a rebadged 6450.

Cheers,

The HD 7450 should have the edge over the HD 2000. But since you already have the HD 7450, try for yourself.

I had an Optiplex 790 SFF myself awhile back; i5-2400. I managed to put a GTX low-profile 1050 Ti in it. Maxed out the 240W PSU for sure, but ran fine for years and finally sold it. But a faster RX 550 or GT 1030 would work easily in it if you want to spend some money and don't want to take the chance of using a GTX 1050 Ti.
