I3-3220 or I3-3225

I can only see one difference between the two and that's the integrated graphics. HD2500 vs HD4000.

Is that the only difference? I plan on using the integrated graphics for a month or so until I buy a dedicated GPU. So which would be better for me? Both are the same price by the way $120 that's why I'm wondering. Thanks in advance.

Absolutely, get the 3225, particularly since they are the same price; there is no downside.
For games such as civ-4, HD-4000 is perfectly fine. Only when you get to fast action shooters would you need a discrete card.
I think it is smart to build with integrated first, it will let you better assess what you need/want for discrete graphics.

i3-3225 for sure. i believe its integreted graphics is roughly equal to a radeon 6450

Get 3220 unless they are the same price. The CPUs are exactly the same except the 3225 has HD4000. Who cares? You'll have a dedicated GPU soon. I've used my HD2500 and its fine for everything, just not core games.

Hah sorry got the 3225. Was actually $15 less at microcenter than the 3220 so it was a score.

Ha. After the discussion and trying to decide, Microcenter makes the choice easy by selling the better choice cheaper than the 3220. Gotta love that store.

They have awesome deals on 3570k all the time. It's insane how cheap the store sells CPUs.
