i3 3220 upgrade to i5 3570 worth it?

Im running a GTX 1070 and an i3 3220, i was doing some tests and the majority of the time my processor is at 90%+ usage. and my gpu at around 40 - 60. i would guess this means an upgrade is needed. I was looking around and i5 3570 seems to be a good option for LGA1155 socket motherboard. Has anyone got this processor or got any recommendations on another good upgrade?

I'd say at least 3570k but I've seen 3770ks for quite cheap on eBay recently which is a good choice if you aren't in the position to upgrade to newer platform

The i5-3570k is a beast and is probably one of the top 10 cpu processors to this date. If you're looking to overclock, get this. IF you have more money to burn, the i7-3770k would be good for editing/rendering videos. 😀

^ agree, but OP don't expect every 3570k to be able to hit 4.5+. I found with mine that it needs serious volts above 4.4. In fairness, I rarely see it maxing out in gaming, with some exceptions. It's a good choice
