I3 3220 vs i5 2400

Hello guys I have finally decided to upgrade my cpu from g2030 to i3 3220 or i 5 2400 . So help me decide which will be best for gaming . I have gt 1030 and 6gb ram(will upgrade to 8gb) and a 450w psu. So I go for newer i3 or older i5

i5 would be the quicker of the two for more recent games; the GT1030 will probably hold you back significantly, though.
