I3 3220 Vs Phenom II X6 1045T Vs Phenom II X4 970 For Video Editing I Mainly Use Sony Vegas Pro To Make YouTube Videos I Record PS3 & Wii U With A HD PVR And Want To Get The Fastest Render Time As My 6 Year Old Dell Running An Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Is Not Very Fast And I Want Something That Will Render Fast I Don't Have A Big Budget To Spend So Which Out Of The Three Above Would Be Best For Video Editing/Rending?

I Just Have One Quest Isn't The FX 6300 A 4 Core With 8 Threads? Because I Read That 6 Real Core's Is Better Than A 4 Core Each Core Split Into 2 Threads?

Fx line has modules and 2 cores a module that shares resources, so techically i would call it a true 6 core but not like a phenom x6 as those cpus dont share resources, but with piledriver, they are multithreaded better than the phenoms unlike bulldozer, but fx piledrivers dont reach the phenom single threaded performance.

The fx 6300 is a six core, if u were looking into the fx 8320/8350 u'd have the obvious winner, but with an oc the 1045t wouldnt be a bad choice as its price difference from the fx 6300

Rule #1 for overclocking, DO NOT OVERCLOCK WITH STOCK COOLING! lol

I would get a cooler master Hyper 212 Evo with an extra fan for push/pull and it would cool great for its cost. Every chip is different and some can get 4ghz with a locked x6, which urs is, and some wont get near 4ghz. Mine is only 100mhz higher clocked than the 1045t and locked multiplier, and got to 3.2ghz without rlly trying, actually i let my motherboard do it for me.

With wattage, i saw a review at stock speeds, the 8350 and i5 3570k using similar power near idle and the fx using only a little bit more under load with same components. The 8350 being 125watts, and i5 being 77w.

Sure Will Be Nice To Render Videos Alot Faster And Not Leave It Running All Night. This Is My First Build As Well So Im Pretty Existed, But I Know What To Do As I Have Made Lots Of Changes To My Current PC Including Upgrading It To The Athlon X2 6000+ It Was Running An 3800+ LOL =)

Think Im Gonna Go With The Piledriver FX6300 and might get the Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 Motherboard to put it in Just need to check that it comes with the latest BIOS so that I can install the F6300 with no probs. I was considering Intel but have always like that even if AMD don't have as good performance as Intel there prices are brilliant and socket AM3+ is around to stay so upgrading in the future is easier because u don't have to go out and buy a new board =)

R2 comes with Win8 compatible lol and bios update for piledriver, main reason they release Revision 2 boards. Sabertooth is a great choice

Yeah always a plus at the moment with amd sticking with am3+ for another generation

Iv still been looking at other processors and could probably strech my budget to an i5-3470 would this be better over the FX6300?
