I just want to know how much difference i5 4440 would make over i3 4150 with GTX 970.It's just that I3 4150 is well cheaper than i5 4440 in my area.I would be able to buy an i5 or i7 ,one a lot advanced to those two after an year.I want to have the best gaming experience for an year.

So,What do you guys suggest? Buy I3 4150 now and go for a big processor after an year or do i have to get an i5 4440 for the best experience? Also, Could I5 -4440 support gaming at 60 fps over next 2 years with gtx 970?

I had a Core i3 3220 and it only allowed me to reach around 40FPS in GTA V even with the recommended Graphics Card (GTX 660).
I upgraded to an i7 3770 and now I can go past 60FPS with the same card.

That said, it depends on the games that you play. Some games are GPU limited and so upgrading to an i5 or i7 won't matter. Can u list down the games that you play / will play, so we can come to a solution?

How is your experience with I5 4690k?Do you think I could run both gpu and cpu demanding games for at least an year with that? Thanks for the answer.:)

easily

a 970 is in the same class as my 290x

short of horrible running games like arma etc

I am very pleased with the performance, well worth the upgrade from a phenom 2 XD

Get an i5 4690K if you want to overclock and get more performance out of it, or get the 4690 (non-K) version. It'll future proof you for the next two years with the GTX 970 and you'll be able to play your favourite games at 60FPS at High or Ultra settings at 1080p.
