i3 4150 suddenly reaches 80digrees then pc shuts down and this is about 1-2 minutea from startup

So this is what happened i started my pc as usual it started as usual i went on youtube and boom power gone started it up happened again but this time just as the welcome to win10 apeared so i though to look it up and heating is the problem i atarted up went into the bios and saw my cpu reaching from 60 to 80digrees in a few seconds i just removed my cm 120v plus liquid cooler and cleaned everything and put on new thermal paste will try again and see if theres any change

Okay guys i started it up went up to 60 now hovering in low 50digrees gonna let it run in bios to get full knowledge of temp drop /gain

Okay about 5-10 min running temps still in the 50 looks like it will work 50 digrees is much better than 80 and a pc shutting down hope this tread helps other people with the same problem

I think 50 degrees is still too much for an idle CPU. How did you apply the thermal paste? Also some paste needs time to dry out and do the job properly.

I aplied a little on the block and a dab on the cpu as shown in linus tech tips video keep in mind im in a warm house in south africa temps i here is around 35-40 digrees

Ah, well, if your house is 35º it's normal your CPU it's around 50 at idle.

(You said 35-40º inside your house? Are not you too much hot?)

i get really hot but i just run out and dunk myself in the pool every now and again haha

Just downloaded realtwmp v3.70 reads my cpu temps at 34 and 32 digrees everything working well again
