Ok i currently have a Pentium G3258 and a Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming Edition, I ran Rivatuner in gta v and battlefield 4 , And the GPU usage was saying 55-60% for BF4 and 40% for GTA V , so my CPU is bottlenecking right? and i also get anoying stutter in GTA V and Witcher 3 . its like stuttering every 1 second , i was thinking about grabbing an i3 4160 which i seen pretty cheap on Ebay, will that stop the stuttering , because GTA V is unplayable and witcher 3 also BF4 has tiny stutters , will hyperthreading stop the stutter? and will the gpu percentage go up a bit?
funny because when i had my r9 280x with the pentium it never had these stutters at all, too bad that card fried on its first day lol. please help me with CPU choices , i live in Australia BTW
thanks

I think the i3 4160 would definitely help, from my testing with my G3258 it was obvious a dual core doesn't cut it in most modern games.

If you can find a reasonably cheap i5 4440 / 4460 on ebay, it may also be a good option to look at; as it has four physical cores instead of hyper-threads.

Yeh i dont have enough for the cheapest i5 , but i just want a CPU that will stop this unplayable stutter

do you stutter in games like gta v and witcher 3 ? i need more info before i buy the i3
thanks
