So, like the title says, I'm debating between these two processors to put into my first self-built pc. I'll primarily be using the pc for college work, surfing the web, and general multitasking. I also plan to play some games, and may want to check out some AAA titles as well, at some point. With that being said, would it be more beneficial to just get a quad core I5-4460 right out of the gate? Or go with an I3? I'm torn, honestly, so I'd like some opinions.

For reference, here's the build that I've come up with so far:

CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor
MOBO: ASRock H97M PRO4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Superclocked Video Card
Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case
PSU: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Any critiques/recommendations on my build would also be appreciated, since I'm new to building pcs.

Before anyone asks, no, I don't have any interest in overclocking. I'm also on a budget, so that's why I didn't include an SSD in this build, although I might get one later on.
