i want to upgrade my old gpu with either a gtx 1050ti 4gb or a gtx 1060 3gb
my cpu is an i3 4160 (i know it will bottleneck)
which gpu should i chose?

Either or whatever one you are more satisfied with, you shouldnt have problems with the I3 4160.

Depending on country (and your power supply) you might be able to get an rx 480 or 580 for the same price as a 3gb 1060
