i3 4160 won't Bottleneck even 980!!! IS it true

Solution
Well the 4160 can run games at ultra if the GPU is good enough, unless it's some extremely crowded place in some game where you need more CPU processing power, but for singleplayer games the i3 will be enough and will be capable, not to mention you can upgrade it in the future. Sure i5 + 970 will give you a boost over i3 + 970 in some of the most CPU demanding games, but the boost will not be huge.

It all depends on how the game engine manage's threads like i have i7 4790k at 4.5GHz and i get bottlenecking on game's that are singlethreaded rendering my example is SeriousSame 3, that game is verywell build for DX9 this is pushing DX9 to the max i use to have a FX8320 and still able to play it on untra but around 30fps min in heavy places the i7 4790k still drops to about 45fps, so really its about the game,

another example is metro 2033 if you have weak cpu use nvidia phyx instead of cpu phyic's because you have the gpu power unlike my 760.
