Question i3-5005U capped at 0.49 Ghz ?

i have a laptop with that processor and its now slow.
I need a solution to this.

Try running ThrottleStop.

Open up the Limit Reasons window and see what it shows. If you see BD PROCHOT glowing red, try clearing the BD PROCHOT box on the main screen of ThrottleStop. This is a common throttling problem on older laptops.

If you are not sure what ThrottleStop is showing you, post lots of screenshots when your CPU is throttling and I will help you out. The TPL might show that the power limits are set way too low. The more info you post the better.

it worked and my processor is now running in 2 Ghz
