I3 540 Overclock Temperature check

hello i overclocked my cpu to 3.6 ghz
Computer specs :

gtx 660

Motherboard : asus p7h55-m lx

4 Ram

Cpu : i3 540

When i play Bf3 my temperature can go up to 65-67C
when idle 39-43

now my question is if that ok temps?

my second question you can see in the top its says 158 x 23 is that ok?

Those temps are fine. I assume you're using the stock Intel cooler? The 158 x 23 is just your base clock and multiplier. When you times them together you get your processor's frequency and in this case, 3634Mhz is fine.

The temps look fine. As for the 158 x 23, that is the Bclk x multiplier and how it got to the clock that it is now.

Not at all. Those processors are set to throttle around 100c I believe; so anything under 75-80c is completely safe! 67-68c in Battlefield is normal and nothing to worry about 😀

Yeah, that isn't unusual for that game and you are fine. Actually pretty good with the OC.
