i3-6100 and stuttering in Fallout 4

Hi. I would like to build a PC, but I'm not sure if and i3 can cut it when playing open world games like fallout 4. I've heard of i3's and stuttering, but is it very bad that and i5 is needed? If not, is there a way to alleviate the problem? Thanks in advance.

If you have the budget for an i5 I would highly suggest it. It will last you more than a couple years.

You might be able to scrape by with an i3 for a small amount of time (you will be limited on the titles you can run on high+ even at this point in time.)

For Fo4 I would recommend an i5 (such as the 6500).
Most other games an i3 would be fine.
