Hello guys, i decided tu buy i3-6100 processor, i don't want a bottleneck, so i want to know which one gpu i have to buy, what about GTX 950 or GTX 960 ?
Would be enough 8gb ram ? Or 16gb ?

depends on what you want, normally, 2x4 gb is a cheaper solution and enables dual channel of ram, but 1x8 gb allows you to expand to some more ram easier [if you only have 2 ram dimms]

the price difference of 1x8 vs 2x4 isn't enough to matter.
Dual channel provides no real world benefit.

GTX 960, 8GB DDR4 2400MHz is optimal in terms of cost, however it doesn't hurt to grab 16GB.
With the 960 the 4GB of VRAM vs 2GB has been proven to give no performance increase in gaming AND stress test applications, so don't bother with it.

If you like you can wait until next month to grab the RX480, although it will most likely be in VERY high demand, and will sell out quickly! :)
If you can wait go for the RX480 imo definitely, but if you really want to build now then the 960 is the way to go.

Nope. Buying a 960 these days is a really bad idea.

as i said, expandability is a reason too :)

Not really. The AMD RX480 will be out of stock for weeks surrounding its launch no doubt due to the sheer quantity of people looking to get into PC gaming with a good VR spec. Grabbing one of these cards will be extremely tough on launch, and that power will be bottlenecked by the i3 regardless, so you will not be getting its full capabilities even if you were to wait and buy it, but it would still be an improvement of around 30% over the 960.
Either is a good choice, but you have to take into account the OPs CPU limitation, not just sheer hardware power.

The i3 is bottlenecked significantly by a 970 already, hell even a 960 is pushing it. What makes you think that it can handle something the power of a 980 and not be bottlenecked? T.T

i3 6100TE overclocked to 3.645 GHz (which is essentially an i3-6100) typically gets 80-90% fps of an i7 when paired with a 980. I don't know what you consider a "significant bottleneck", but that doesn't sound that bad to me. Plus, if DX12 delivers on its promises, CPU bottlenecks will be reduced even further in future games.

Huh, guess I was wrong.
I was certain that a 970 overclocked was a definite bottleneck for me in the witcher at ultra 1080p when compared to an i5 test which gave decent frame boosts (around 25% more).
Well at least i know for future now lol. Ty.

Nope. The performance difference is marginal at best unless you game on integrated graphics and expandability is way more important.
