i3 6100 vs intel pentium G-4560

is there any point in paying almost 1.5 times the price of G4560 for an i3 6100 as far as gaming and some moderate works are considered.

I mean they almost have the same kinds of specs .
Is an i3 worthy of it cost?

can anybody post a proof that investing in an i3 would be beneficial in near future.

The g4560 is an amazing processor for price it is almost identical to the i3 slight differences only seperate them i would personaly pick the g4560 over i3

If you are planning on buildibg with a kaby lake such as the g4560 i would go with an h270 b250 or z270 unless you can preflash a 100 series motherboard to make it compatible (hint g4560 with rx470 is a budget beast)

The tiny performance gain of the i3 doesn't justify the cost. Just get the Pentium and save your money, one day you might want to upgrade to an i5/i7.

Just get a 200 series motherboard to avoid any BIOS issues.

i3 supports ECC RAM and AVX instructions, neither of which you'll likely need. Other than that, it has a 200 MHz (6%) higher clock. In other words, for the majority of users there is no point in getting the i3 as the G4560 is a much better buy.
