I heard that G4560 core cant install in it Windows 7 or Windows XP , Only windows 10 because the kaby lake feature , so i think to try the i3 6100 core.
My question is windows xp will work in the i3 6100 ? Or maybe the windows 7 ?
If you can not find a socket 1150 motherbaord with windows xp drivers then there is no support for windows xp.
I cant understand all of this desire for people to run new hardware on Windows XP. It is a 15 year old operating system with poor security when it was new and now completely unpatched and vulnerable. Not to mention most software vendros have pulled the cord on being compatibale with XP so you would have to play find the 7 version old software game just to get something to run.
Why windows XP no ? Forget about no support anymore to that OS , its will work if i installed XP ? Because windows 7 not supported too , so i think XP should work too...
There aren't any XP drivers, for the motherboards. Motherboard vendors dropped such support years ago. The boards do support windows 7, but the install can require some extra work, if trying to install from a USB drive. XP is dead, and a security nightmare.
No it is not going to work. There are 0 XP drivers for an i3 6100 build. Based on czar357's comment, the best you are going to get is an AMD APU. Another option is to find a used Sandy bridge/Ivy bridged based system, and even then may be motherboard specific. That is the newest Intel platform that you are going to find with XP support. My old Z77 extreme4 had XP support.
The problem is driver support was not included, for newer platforms, and XP. You would need to look at 2nd/3rd gen i series to get XP support. XP was relevant, when P4's were out. It is a dead OS now.
