i3 6300 vs FX 8370 with GTX 970

Greetings people.I bought a GTX 970,8GB DDR3 RAM.I'm looking for a motherboard+CPU combo and my budget is 250$.Which processor do you suggest under that budget?I narrowed down to i3 6300 vs FX 8370 but I'm unsure about the bottlenecking results.Could you please help me out?

If you bought DDR3 ram, you might be better off getting a 4th gen motherboard and CPU. Have a look at the H97 chipset motherboards, and the i5 4690.

There are DDDR3 boards for the Skylake platform but its counter useful. The 6300 is a waste of money, the 6100 is basically the same thing. The 8350/70 has the benefit of overclocking and in some more demanding titles will play better. An i3 6100 is a pretty solid chip and games well, and there is also a good reason to take a FX8370 with the wraith cooler for some good overclocks.

I would take the i3 as you have a little upgrade path to a quad at a later stage, with the FX you are on a dead end socket even though it is a lot of fun to play around with them.

Hard question, on both you will get similar results but I would go for the 8370 if you can't afford an i5

I would highly recommend not buying anything AMD FX right now, they are very out of date now. Im not fanboying, I have a 8350 in one of my systems.
