Was thinking of a z170 Chipset for future use (I could also overclock this one with the z Chipset)

Soo am still new at pc building and originally I was gonna go with #2 bt then one of my friend, more experienced in this stuff, advised me to go with a 6th gen build saying it's always better as you can upgrade your system without replacing many parts (eg. For 4th gen to 6th I will need to replace to Motherboard too making it more expensive). Soo I made a 6th gen build. I wont be using it for heavy gaming though.
Also I was gonna go with a GTX 960 for #2 build which came very much in my budget(budget is around $750). But then I found this article -> http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2729891/bottlenecking-guide-chart-2015.html <- and soo went with a 970 atleast which got a bit above budget.
For the i3 the r9 380 had better performance than GTX 960 soo I went for that.
Another thing to be noted is that I was thinking of using this hardware on my 32 inch 60hz tv. Not sure what it will deliver bt if it comes out to be a good one I will prefer to stick with the tv. Soo if it is a 60hz tv then I guess above 60hz of fps from my Gpu will be a waste. I don't play first person shooting games soo an average lag won't make much of a difference.

Soo I wanted some comments on the build, you can also suggest some updates for future upgrading(eg. A z series Chipset if buying an overclockable CPU in future) and the tv as monitor thing.
