Hi,
im building my first gaming pc but need advice on what CPU and GPU to chose. As its my first pc my budget is fairly low, around 600-700 euros (I live in Spain BTW).

From looking around I was thinking of two possibilities,
1. i3-7100 with GTX1060 3gb
2. AMD R1400 with GTX1050ti (1050ti FTW)

I was mainly thinking of playing Players Unknown Battleground and H1Z1 (although ive heard mixed reviews about H1Z1) and those kinds of games. I dont really know which one would be better for these kinds of games. Maybe look for an i5 processor, although those are more expensive and out of my budget.

Any help deciding or any other suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Get g4560 and 1060, same performance as 7100.
Ideal would be 1400 and 1060/580 if you can afford it.

CPU is more future proof, should last longer than g4560 and better overall performance of PC in games.

Is the 580 better than the 1060? Im thinking getting the 1400 with the 1060. What do you think?

The 1060 6gb and 580 4gb or 8gb are very evenly matched. However the 1060 3gb is a weak gpu, not only does it have less VRAM but also a slightly cut down processor with fewer cuda cores than the 6gb. Also 3gb VRAM is a little on the low side for a new gpu in 2017.

I was going for the 1060 3gb as it is more affordable and the 6gb is out of my budget. Im trying to find a 580 but they all seem to be out of stock. Do you think I should try and find a 580 4gb instead of the 1060 3gb??

thanks a lot for your help

I'd try and get the 580 4gb but I know supply is low which has driven up the price. Bitcoin miners have been buying them up.

Im very unsure as to what to do now. Ive searched everywhere and there are no 580s around. Are there any other options? would there be a problem playing games like PUBG with a 1060 3g??

Well if you cant find any cheap option you should wait, some psychos use value GPUs for crypto/bit coins mining or whatever.
If you need a computer you could get all parts now and buy gpu later. 580/1060 are the best performance/$ GPUs, at least they were until all got sold out.
1060 3GB will be fine for PUBG.
