This is my first pc build and I was going with an intel i3 6100, but I thought the i3 7100 would be better at the same price. So I ordered the parts and now I just realized a day after ordering them that the motherboard doesn't support 7th gen processors.

This is my first pc build and I'm scared that I will have to ship it back and get an i3 6100 which will take almost a week to get to them 🙁

Please please help!

The board supports Kaby Lake, however you need to update the BIOS/UEFI, which will need a Skylake CPU.

If you have a computer shop near you, maybe they will allow you put a Skylake CPU in it to update the BIOS.

Sadly we don't have a computer shop around here. I would have to go almost 3 hours away to get this fixed. I would rather ship the cpu back and get an i3 6100, and just build the computer without the cpu until I get the money refunded. Then I would order and put it in when the cpu comes.

Thanks anyways :)
