i3 7100+rx 580 vs i5 7400+1050ti

I3 & 580 I'd say is far better.

I'd lean to the i3 & 580 bit I think it will depend on the game and how cpu heavy it is.

Depends on the game.

CPU intensive games like BF1 will choke harder on the i3 vs the i5 with little bit weaker GPU.

A ryzen 5 1400 (or better) + 3gb version of GTX 1060 would be better and in the same budget range
